Bhiwani District is one of the 21 districts of Haryana state in northern India. Created on 22 December 1972, the district occupies an area of 5,140 square kilometres (1,980 sq mi) and administers 442 villages with a population of 1,425,022. The district headquarters is the city of Bhiwani, which is around 124 kilometres (77 mi) from the capital Delhi. Other major towns in the district are Siwani, Charkhi Dadri, Loharu, Tosham, Bawani Khera and Badhra.
As of 2011 it is the third most populous district of Haryana (out of 21), after Faridabad and Hisar.

Bhiwani is a city and a municipal council in Bhiwani district in the state of Haryana, India. The headquarters city of the eponymous district, it is known as the city of temples and often termed "Bangarh Kashi" or "Chhoti Kashi". Besides being a seat of spiritual learning, the city is at the centre of regional politics and hometown of three former Haryana chief ministers: Bansi Lal, Banarsi Dass Gupta and Hukum Singh.
The city has a conventional school of boxing, with almost all of the members of the Indian Boxing Squad coming from its SAI hostel. The late Capt. Hawa Singh, the legendary boxer, helped establish the boxing academy in Bhiwani.
(i) Working of Mining Officer/Asstt. Mining Engineer is to check up the Mining Area in which whether the working in various mines are being done as per rule & regulation which are mentioned in Punjab Minor Mineral Concession Rules 1964 etc and in Agreement Deed Executed by the contractor with the Govt. of Haryana.

(iii) Road checking is also conducted by this department. In any vehicle found without weighment slip then the Royalty & Price of Mineral arc collected from that vehicle by impounding the same.
The major source of occupation here in Bhiwani District is mainly Agriculture. Apart from agriculture some other medium-scale and small-scale industries are providing employment to the people of the district. BTM,TITS,CHINAR, S.K FOILS are few medium-scale industries situated in Bhiwani. Most of the land here is used for cultivation. So in villages the main source of income is Agriculture.
